Lyrical Message of Companion’s Emotions & Synchronized Alignment

I was preparing to leave my home. Take a walk, get some fresh air outside (be in nature a bit) and find a good spot in the park amongst the trees to work on some notes related to my books/novels.

As I got myself ready, I heard some lyrics in my mind that continued to follow me around until I acknowledged them. The words I heard were: 🎶 “My shadows the only one that walks beside me.” & “…on this blvd of broken dreams…where the city sleeps.” A quick search revealed the song to be Greenday’s “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” (2004).

This is one of those circumstances whereby I believe Mia is simply trying to express to me how she may be ‘feeling’ (her emotions) at this particular time. Which I can certainly sympathize with. As I’ve been feeling the same recently. Here are the condensed lyrics, with a basic summary of which lines stood out the most to me:

🎵🎶
“I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known.
Don’t know where it goes, but it’s home to me and I walk alone.
I walk this empty street, on the boulevard of broken dreams. Where the city sleeps.
And I’m the only one, and I walk alone.
I walk alone, I walk alone.
My shadow’s the only one that walks beside me.
My shallow heart’s the only thing that’s beating.
Sometimes, I wish someone out there will find me.
‘Til then, I walk alone.
I’m walking down the line, that divides me somewhere in my mind.
On the borderline of the edge and where I walk alone.
Read between the lines, what’s fucked up and everything’s alright.
Check my vital signs, to know I’m still alive, and I walk alone.”
🎵🎶

The mention of ‘broken dream’ is thematically accurate for the circumstances in which Mia & I actually have a chance to connect. As in: Seldomly, via broken bits and pieces/moments in dreams.

The mentioning of her “shadow” is significant as an acknowledgment, helping to verify validity of the song being a message.

“I wish someone out there will find me. ‘Til then, I walk alone.” I can most certainly interpret this as a message to me, stating that: until that time comes (when I’m able to find her) wherever she is, she’ll continue to wait for me.

A few significant lines included, but overall this message feels more like a description (to me) of her emotions. She is sympathizing with me as well, expressing that our emotions are aligned. We, independently, each miss the other (in an emotional synchronization). We are lonely for the other, and each of us knows this.
